Bed and Breakfast Hotel Options

Most people think of a Bed and Breakfast as being a place to go for a romantic weekend away. And very often, they are used for couples to get away and rekindle their romance. That is a great thing to do at a B & B, however, there are a lot more reasons why you should go to a Bed and Breakfast and they don’t have anything to do with romance. Bed and Breakfasts can be thought of as mini-retreats... Continue Reading

1 out of 5 stars

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. So the first impression my mom and I got was when we arrived at the B & B. Check in time was 3:00 pm. We were there at 2:45 pm. We thought they would probably let us check in 15 minutes early. WRONG! They wouldn't even let me use the restroom and I was 7 months pregnant. The woman was rude about it too. We left and found a restroom and ended up coming back to check into the B & B a couple hours later. I can honestly say, this was the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. First, the bed was ROCK hard. Both my mother and I got back aches from attempting to sleep on the bed. We even debated moving to the floor, as we thought maybe the carpet would be softer. All night it rained, which wouldn't have been a problem, except that there was an air conditioner left in the window so all night you could also hear the pinging of rain drops off of it. Further, our room was cold. It was mid October when we had our stay so I'm not sure why the air conditioner was still in the window, leading the room to be very drafty. Also, there were no locks on the room doors and you don't even get a key, which was a little unsettling. We put our luggage in front of the door when we were dressing and sleeping. For liability purposes one would think they would at least have locks on the doors. Guess not. Now...onto breakfast...it consisted of hard bagels and cereal. There was one warm dish, and it was terribly greasy. We had pre-paid for 2 nights, but only stayed for one. It was so AWFUL! How anyone would repeat this experience is beyond me! Take my advice and steer clear of this horrible place.
